HOW TO UPDATE

TOURNEY STATS
go to www.bravenet.com
user name is phoenix_crib ask admin for password
on the new page that opens click on the websites tab
click on the website address phoenixcrib.com,
then click on filemanager,
then click on the file name STATS
look for the file that says tourney.html
click on the icon that look like a pad and pencil
You are now in the edit tourney files
At the beginning of each month I will start the file.
There is 2 sections, the top is the 5 top people.
The bottom section is all the wins in alpha order.
Each day you look at all the tourney winner (and ties) and adjust the file.
If you add new names it is important that you add a <br> after each name
Make sure you also change the date at the top of the file each time
Do not put the date and time you are updating.
You put the time and date of the last tourney included in your update
Now you need to save the file. To save it look for the second icon on the top left.
It looks like a computer disc. Click on this icon, it will ask
"are you sure you want to save changes to this file".
Click "OK". Another alert box will appear and say "your changes have been saved". Click "OK".
You can now click on File Manager at the top of that page.
If the files are updated every day, each file should take no longer than 10 mins
It is very very important that the stats files be up to date on the last day of the month

PARTNER STATS

You are now in the edit partners files
The winner of a partners tourney gets 2 points
the second place winners get 1 point
In the event of a tie for first there is no points for second place

**To update the 'next reserve page' ...
copy that same text file to a word doc
change the month to the next month with the 'find and replace' command
example: if it is April then find 'April' and replace with 'May'

**select all from your word doc and copy back into the "next" text file

and if there is a 5th sat or sun it should be labeled marathon
most wanted and pom should be set
The RFTG and GFTG should be the current series.

edit the things that have not been done

choose the template with the day of the month that the month starts

Choose a new background and insert

In your word doc find and replace the months
there will always be three months in the newsletter
ALWAYS replace the last one first
example
January February March
first replace March with April
then replace February with March
then replace January with February

then choose new font colors that go with your new background
there are at least 3 font colors possibly more
a HEADER font
a TEXT font
a LINK font
and sometimes a secondary Header color....

then use the style sheet to change the font colors, including the links
you will find it at the top of the page
and will need to replace the color attritbutes for
p is the main text color
h1 is the main title and one color
h2 is the subject header color
reply, title, h3, table td, are all the topic header color
no idea what title2 color is for lol
links are all one color
you must also change the POM, most wanted,
GFTG and RFTG backgrounds and info

Because you used the template all things that need to be edited
should be xxxx'ed out already
BUT you need to open the current special winners section...
and correct ALL the stats ... men 12 ladies 13 it changes every month...
so after you have to change
all the double tourneys that have stats attached

now copy the sections
and put them back into the working sections to edit
working members, working donations, working winners,
working special tourneys

post in htd group that the working sections are all edited
and ready to be updated
