THE GOLDEN HOMER Awarded to the TD that shows they can be human, mess up and still have fun.

It has been suggested we have a vote or contest for the TD of the month. Problem is all the Phoenix TDs would tie for the award, they are all great. So how do we honor them for this great work they do for all of us; running tourneys? After thinking very little and not very hard, we came up with the "GOLDEN HOMER AWARD" The GOLDEN HOMER AWARD will be awarded to the TD that makes a HOMER. In other words they mess up or do something silly. It could be something like Vanessa falling asleep while running a tourney, Joe spamming the wrong pairings 3 times in a row or Randall confusing Dave's & Andy's IDs. Now this isn't to be mean, but to have a few laughs at our own expense. A wise man once said "You can't truly laugh until you have learned to laugh at yourself." With that in mind and remembering we are all here to have fun, we figured why not laugh at ourselves. After all we can't take this too seriously, it's just a game online. The members can nominate throughout the month the TD they feel deserving of the GOLDEN HOMER. TDs, can nominate other TDs, but can't nominate themselves A distinguished duo of judges will get to decide the winner of the GOLDEN HOMER EACH MONTH. For the winner of the GOLDEN HOMER, to show we still love them, will receive the following: Their name will appear on the league awards page They will receive a certificate by e-mail They will have their name & certificate posted in the forum Nominations will end on the 25th of each month.
