PHOENIX LADDER RULES

You can play as often as you like in tourneys, you can also play in ladder matches against other members. You may also play in two tourney at a time, but ONLY with Phoenix, and ONLY in Advance 2. There is no running and/or playing elsewhere at the same time allowed. You may run/play at the same time in Advanced 2 (with Phoenix) ONLY.

All tables are to be closed after all matches. New tables are to be set each round of every tourney.

Tourney and ladder matches count for your rating and ladder position. You report ladder matches on the main league page, tourney losses are reported on the tourney page.

To play a ladder match simply enter the lobby and ask “anyone want to play a ladder match” You can play as many ladder matches as you would like in a day. However, you can only play the same person 5 times per day. (this is above and beyond tourney matches played)

Substitutes in a tourney are only allowed in partner’s tourneys, and only when one of the partners is missing.

If for some reason, during a tourney, a player is booted off the net or from yahoo a timer will start. There is a 5 minute boot timer for all tourneys

Players may only have 1 name (account) on the ladder. Players caught with more than 1 league ID risk having all their accounts deleted. It unfairly affects the ranking system and is considered cheating by Case.

It is illegal for more than one person to use or share the same account. This would unfairly affect the ranking system. Players caught with more than one account or sharing accounts, risk having all their accounts deleted.

Your Ladder name must match the name you use in chat and play your matches under exactly. This includes spaces, underscores and other keyboard characters. If it doesn't the match is invalid and your opponent is not required to report any losses to you. If your Ladder name is offensive to other users or contains profanity your account will be removed.

It is against league rules to run a tourney in another lobby while playing in a tourney at Phoenix.

It is against league rules to play in other games while playing a match at Phoenix.

Kibitzing is not allowed at anytime. Whether you are a spectator or player, ladder or tourney matches, it is forbidden.

It is against case rules to register your friends in tourneys. Case has anti cheating software in use. If it is detected that one person registered 2 people in a tourney (their friend and themselves) the tourney may be shut down for cheating. All registered would then be unable to play in that tourney, plus the offending members and the TD would have to apply to case to be reinstated before they could play again.

You may never report a loss against yourself by another player. It goes against Case's rules of password sharing. Case's anti cheating software would pick this up and it is considered possible cheating. Members that have been flagged for doing this risk having their accounts deleted.

Quiet watching of tables is permitted, providing both players have no objection. In the finals all members without exception are allowed and encouraged to watch the finals.

Jumping in and out of tables is strictly forbidden.

People in the same household may team up as partners.

Persons in the same household may not play ladder matches against each other.

Top 10 players that fail to complete formal challenges will be penalized 5 ladder rungs. Both players will be penalized, regardless of the situation. So use the formal challenge at your own risk.

Memberships won at Phoenix_Crib are for your use as a member in this league. If you transfer your membership to another league, you will not be eligible to have another free membership activated until 1 year from the last membership won. You must remain as an active member of the league or your "gifted" memberships will be terminated. Active members are those that have played within the last 21 days, as per Case rules.
